About The Position

CoreCivic is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse with pharmacy experience to provide care in an institutional setting. The successful candidate must perform the listed functions at a pace and level consistent with the job’s performance requirements. The position involves nursing care and treatment of inmates/residents, medication dispensing, and management of medical supplies and records.

Requirements

• Graduate from an approved school of nursing with a certificate as a Licensed Practical Nurse.
• Must be licensed in the state of Minnesota.
• A valid driver's license is required.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.

Nice To Haves

• One year of pharmacy experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Apply appropriate nursing skills in the care and treatment of inmates/residents.
• Attend sick call with the physician, prepare a list of inmates/residents to be examined, and prepare the examining room and equipment.
• Operate pill call, dispense medication, and document as required by applicable policies and procedures.
• Control and inventory medication, syringes, and other medical supplies or equipment according to established procedures.
• Maintain the security and confidentiality of all medical records.
