About The Position

Spectrum Healthcare Resources has a potential opportunity for a civilian Licensed Practical Nurse - Clinical at VA Hudson Valley Healthcare System in Montrose, New York. This contract position offers a comprehensive benefits package including Medical, Dental, and Vision, 401(K), PTO and Sick time. The schedule is 40 hours weekly, with a fully insured patient population and no on-call requirements. This role provides an opportunity to care for Active Duty, Retirees, and their families.

Requirements

• Must be a US citizen, or lawful permanent resident, or alien authorized to work in the US
• Shall have and maintain a current, full, active, and unrestricted license to practice as a Licensed Practical Nurse in any one of the 50 states, the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, or the U.S. Virgin Islands.
• Shall hold and maintain Basic Life Support (BLS), Certifications must be through American Heart Association or American Red Cross guidelines.
• Graduate from an accredited community college, junior college, college, or vocational nursing program approved by the appropriate State agency; and Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN) or The Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE).
• Two years experience performing care and treatment of patients; operating and maintaining therapeutic equipment; properly administering oral and parenteral medications; conducting paraprofessional portions of physical examinations; or assisting in medical treatment of patients in accordance with established procedures and protocols, within the LVN scope of practice.
• Must be U.S Citizen

Nice To Haves

• Proof of documented training from the National Foundation for Integrative Medicine (NFIM) or a similar accredited body.
