About The Position

Esse Health is seeking a full-time Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for its Swansea Internal Medicine Office. The LPN will provide direct or indirect nursing care to patients with urgent, emergent, or potential health problems, utilizing basic nursing principles, practices, and ethics. Responsibilities include charting, metrics, performing delegated duties under the supervision of the Office Manager and/or physician, and assisting in patient examinations and treatments. This role involves interviewing patients, measuring vital signs, administering injections, and recording patient information in the EMR.

Requirements

Formal training, likely indicated by a graduation certificate from an accredited LPN school of nursing.
Current State licensure.
Current CPR certification.
One or more years of experience in ambulatory care.
Willingness to assign high priority to patient comfort and satisfaction.
Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing.
Ability to work compatibly with physicians, other department members, and employees in other departments.

Responsibilities

Provide direct or indirect nursing care to patients with urgent, emergent, or potential health problems.
Utilize knowledge of basic nursing principles, practices, and ethics.
Perform charting and metrics.
Perform miscellaneous delegated duties under the supervision of the Office Manager and/or physician.
Assist in the examination and treatment of patients.
Interview patients.
Measure vital signs (pulse rate, temperature, blood pressure, weight, and height).
Administer injections to patients.
Record information on patients' charts or EMR.
