Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited Licensed Practical Nursing program; RN degree required within 3 years of hire.
- Current LPN licensure in the State of Ohio.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from American Heart Association.
- Current state IV Certification upon hire or within three month of hire/transfer.
- Code Violet (CPI) All Inpatient course Biennially.
Responsibilities
- Performs a wide variety of patient care activities for assigned hospital patients.
- Participates in the multi-disciplinary process of providing care and treatment to patients.
- Provides clinical support and technical assistance to the professional medical and other staff as directed by the Registered Nurse.
- Provides direct patient care to individuals.
- Performs patient observation, data collection related to patient care.
- Administers medication, treatment and procedures.
- Implements the plan of nursing care.
- Communicates findings to the supervising RN to achieve optimal outcomes for patients.
- Functions within the scope of practice dictated by the authority of the Ohio Board of Nursing.
