About The Position

As an Emergency Department LPN, you'll play a vital role in providing compassionate, patient- and family-centered care in a fast-paced clinical setting. Working alongside physicians, registered nurses, and other healthcare professionals, you'll help assess, treat, and support patients with a wide range of medical conditions—from routine concerns to life-threatening emergencies. You'll use critical thinking, sound clinical judgment, and strong communication skills to ensure patients receive timely, high-quality care while maintaining dignity, respect, and compassion.

Requirements

Graduate of an accredited Licensed Practical Nursing (LPN) program.
Current South Carolina LPN license (or Compact State License).
Current American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Experience in emergency nursing skills.

Responsibilities

Provide patient-centered nursing care within the LPN scope of practice.
Assist providers with patient examinations, treatments, and procedures.
Obtain and document patient histories, chief complaints, vital signs, and assessments.
Perform telephone and in-person patient screenings.
Accurately document patient care and maintain medical records according to hospital policies.
Prioritize patient needs and communicate changes in condition to providers.
Assist with medication-related calls and provider orders as directed.
Prepare, clean, stock, and maintain examination and treatment areas.
Collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to ensure excellent patient outcomes.
