The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) is continuously responsible for providing professional nursing services, according to qualifications and training, and non-professional services as directed. The LPN is directly responsible for performing patient care functions according to established standards, policies, and procedures. This role provides clinical and administrative support under the direction of Physicians, Nurse Practitioners, and Nursing Supervisors, utilizing the nursing process for patient care. The position requires effective and professional communication with patients, guests, family members, and co-workers, and collaborative work within a team setting to facilitate quality patient care. Responsibilities include assisting providers with patient assessment, examination, and treatments, adapting to change, maintaining a clean and safe environment, adhering to clinic protocols, managing patient care areas, documenting patient care, maintaining confidentiality, responding to patient inquiries, following up on lab results, and maintaining required clinical knowledge and credentials. The LPN may also be required to float to other clinics as needed and perform other duties as assigned.
