About The Position

About the Role The role of the License Practical Nurse (LPN ) a t US Urology Partners is to provide administrative and clinical support to the providers of the practice. The LP N must be able to work independently as well as interact as part of a team , consistently demonstrating re spect and professionalism to fellow staff members. What You’ll Be Doing The LP N directs assigned provider patient schedule throughout the day. Responsible for medication/script line. Re-directs the message to the RN, PA/ NP or provider if any clinical assessments need to be made on the patient’s behalf. Responsible for completing, in a timely manner, all company t raining and in - services, including but not limited to annual OSHA training and PPD placements. Prepares room & equipment for office procedures assist ing provi der s with office procedures to carry out clinical care including preparing the patient for their appointment. After proper identification of the patient by full name and birthdate, the LP N will greet patients in the waiting area and escort them to the clinical care area for which their appointment is scheduled. Once the patient is placed in the exam room, the LP N assists in placing all personal belongings in the appropriate place in the exam room . Patient EMR chart is to be accurately updated in reg ards to weight , vital si gns, medications and medical updates e nsur ing medical update form has been completed and the chart is ready for the provider (including lab work, x-rays, consultations). The LP N e xplains procedures to the patients addressing any questions or concerns they may have within the scope of practice. Maintains working knowledge of OSHA compliance standards and applies these policies and procedures to daily responsibilities. Reports any adverse medication events to supervising provider. Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited LPN P rogram
  • Current s tate Licens e
  • Current CPR certification
  • At least one (1) year of medical/surgical experience is preferred
  • Travel to other Clinics as needed
  • Reasoning Ability
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
  • Computer Skills
  • To perform this job successfully, an individual should have thorough knowledge in computer information systems.
