About The Position

Rite of Passage Team is hiring for a Part Time Licensed Practical Nurse (Days) at Fort Myers Academy in Fort Myers, FL. Ft. Myers Academy (FMYA) is located in Fort Myers, Florida. We are a moderate risk, all-female program, contracted through the Florida Department of Juvenile Justice, which offers comprehensive care and treatment, specializing in evidence-based intensive mental health services. The academy offers qualified supervision hours. We are dedicated to providing high-quality care in a serene and supportive environment, designed to promote healing and recovery for individuals facing mental health challenges. With a focus on evidence-based practices, Ft. Myers Academy ensures that each client receives personalized, effective treatment tailored to their specific needs.

Requirements

• Possess a High School Diploma or equivalent
• Possess a current Licensed Practical Nursing Credential from Florida.
• Minimum of two years previous medical services administration, including demonstrated experience in operating and securing comprehensive health services programs.
• Be at least 21 years of age
• Be able to pass a criminal background check, drug screening, physical and TB testing.
• Be able to pass a search of the child abuse central registry.

Responsibilities

• Provides for the general health care of the students within the scope of your license.
• Administering immunizations, assisting with TB screening, flu vaccines, and overall health maintenance of students and staff.
• Assist with training employees regarding relevant health care topics such as prevention of sports injuries, blood borne pathogens, CPR, First Aid, and behavioral disorders.
• Assist in ordering supplies, pharmaceuticals, and other medical equipment for the medical team.
