About The Position

Hickory Creek at Crawfordsville is hiring Licensed Practical Nurses to provide direct nursing care in a skilled nursing environment. Under the supervision of a registered nurse or physician, LPNs support residents’ physical and psychosocial well-being and help ensure continuity of care. The role emphasizes dignity, compassion, quality outcomes, and relationship-based care, including learning residents’ life stories and fostering a supportive, engaging atmosphere. The position offers consistent scheduling and guaranteed hours, with full-time and part-time night-shift opportunities from 6:00 PM to 6:30 AM.

Requirements

• Current and valid Licensed Practical Nurse license in Indiana.
• Proficient medication management skills.
• Ability to conduct thorough assessments and accurately document changes in resident condition.
• Strong passion for geriatric nursing and commitment to senior care excellence.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to provide a supportive presence, promote teamwork, collaborate, and work toward excellent resident care.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care under the supervision of an RN or physician.
• Support residents’ physical and psychosocial well-being.
• Manage medications and conduct thorough assessments.
• Accurately document changes in residents’ conditions.
• Promote teamwork and collaborate with nursing and other facility teams to coordinate comprehensive care.
• Help maintain a respectful, positive, and supportive care environment centered on resident dignity, compassion, and quality outcomes.
