About The Position
PAM Health is hiring a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN/LVN) to provide nursing care on a hospital nursing unit. The nurse works under the direction of an RN and provides care appropriate to patients’ ages and populations, following PAM Health policies, procedures, and guidelines. The role also includes other related duties as assigned or requested. The posting identifies this opening as full-time nights at Sarasota Specialty.
Requirements
- Hold a current LPN/LVN license in the state where the hospital is located, or compact licensure if the state participates.
- Hold current BLS certification; certification must be AHA-approved within 90 days of employment.
- Obtain current IV certification within 90 days of employment if required by state regulations.
Nice To Haves
- One year of inpatient medical-surgical nursing experience is preferred but not required.
Responsibilities
- Provide appropriate nursing care as directed by an RN on the nursing unit.
- Gather and report patient data.
- Carry out orders.
- Perform therapeutic procedures in an age- and population-appropriate manner and in accordance with PAM Health policies, procedures, and guidelines.
- Perform other related duties as assigned or requested.
