Licensed Practical Nurse - Strickland Family Medicine
About The Position
Northside Hospital is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for Strickland Family Medicine. The LPN provides direct patient care to an assigned group of patients in accordance with Northside Hospital’s philosophy, policies, and procedures. The position participates in planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care and works under the direction of a Registered Nurse in an assigned clinical area. LPNs work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals in diverse clinical settings to improve patient function and protect patients’ health and safety. LPNs participate in Northside Hospital’s Licensed Practical Nurse – Nursing Excellence Track Program (L-NEXT), which offers career advancement opportunities through expanded knowledge and expertise, academic and continuing education, and specialty certification.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited school of practical nursing.
- Current licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse in the State of Georgia.
- Hold American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS).
Nice To Haves
- One year of experience as an LPN.
- Additional life support credential (ACLS, PALS, NRP, etc.) or other clinical specialty certifications may be preferred in specific units.
- Visual color acuity screening, depending on the role in specific units.
