About The Position
Galloway Ridge is an upscale continuing care retirement community seeking a compassionate and skilled Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join their team. This role involves serving as both a Staff Nurse and a Charge Nurse, providing support and guidance to fellow nursing team members, delivering high-quality care, and gaining experience in administrative tasks. The schedule for this position is Saturdays, Sundays, and Mondays from 7:00 pm - 7:00 am.
Requirements
- Valid LPN license
- Basic Life Support and AED Certifications
- Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to multitask, stay organized, and respond calmly in urgent situations
Nice To Haves
- Experience in long-term, geriatric, or assisted living care preferred
Responsibilities
- Deliver compassionate, hands-on care to residents across multiple settings — Skilled Nursing, Assisted Living, Dementia Care, and Independent Living.
- Administer medications, perform treatments, and obtain specimens as needed.
- Provides oversight for areas assigned along with administrative tasks.
- Monitor residents’ health and well-being, identify and document changes, and promptly report concerns.
- Respond to medical and emergency situations throughout the community, including independent living neighborhoods; triage and prioritize care needs.
