PART TIME LICENSED PRACTICAL NURSE
About The Position
The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) is a key member of the Harrisburg Juvenile Treatment Center medical team and provides general health care to students within the scope of the LPN license. Duties may include administering immunizations, assisting with TB screenings and flu vaccines, and supporting the overall health maintenance of students and staff. The LPN also helps train employees on relevant health care topics, including sports injury prevention, blood-borne pathogens, CPR, First Aid, and behavioral disorders, and assists with ordering supplies, pharmaceuticals, and other medical equipment for the medical team. The position offers the opportunity to help create a positive, safe, and supportive environment for youth while contributing to their health and well-being. The facility provides a trauma-responsive program focused on the personal and academic growth of at-risk young females.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Current LPN licensure in the state of Arkansas.
- At least 21 years of age.
- Ability to pass a criminal background check, drug test, physical examination, and TB test.
- Ability to pass a search of the child and adult abuse central registry.
- Meet the requirements to be an eligible driver, including having an active driver's license.
