About The Position
The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN/LVN) provides appropriate nursing care to patients on the nursing unit as directed by a registered nurse. Care must be appropriate to the patient’s age and population and consistent with PAM Health policies, procedures, and guidelines. The position includes gathering and reporting data, carrying out orders, and performing therapeutic procedures. The nurse also performs other related duties as assigned or requested. Requirements
- Current licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse or Licensed Vocational Nurse in the state where the hospital resides.
- Current BLS certification.
Nice To Haves
- One year of inpatient medical-surgical nursing experience is preferred but not required.
- Prior experience in emergency or critical care environments.
- Comfort working with vents, trachs, PICC lines, and similar equipment.
- Two years of experience in direct patient care.
Responsibilities
- Provide appropriate nursing care as directed by an RN on the nursing unit.
- Gather and report patient data.
- Carry out orders.
- Perform therapeutic procedures in an age- and population-appropriate manner consistent with PAM Health policies, procedures, and guidelines.
- Perform other related duties as assigned or requested.
