About The Position

Centennial Peaks Hospital has been providing psychiatric services to the Denver-metro area for more than 30 years. Located in beautiful Louisville, CO, our 104-bed facility provides a peaceful setting for those seeking treatment for mental illness including chemical dependency. Centennial Peaks offers unique and individualized programming for adults that sets us apart from many other treatment facilities. Our dynamic leadership team includes several Licensed Social Workers and a seasoned nursing department. Our hospital is fortunate to provide Electroconvulsive Therapy, Intensive Outpatient and Partial Hospitalization Programs in addition to inpatient services. The Licensed Practical Nurse provides professional nursing care on a designated unit in a manner consistent with the philosophy and objectives of Centennial Peaks Hospital. The Licensed Practical Nurse prescribes, coordinates and delegates nursing care utilizing the nursing process that is integrated into the multidisciplinary treatment team plan of care. The Licensed Practical Nurse is accountable for assigned nursing care activities on a shift basis and is responsible for promoting and enhancing professional nursing practice on the unit. The Licensed Practical Nurse may also assume Charge Nurse responsibilities as needed.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
  • Licensure and registration by the Colorado Division of Regulatory Agencies as a Licensed Practical Nurse.
  • Must possess knowledge of general and psychiatric nursing processes, therapeutic relationships and processes, age specific growth and development, limit setting, crisis and behavior management and CPR training.

Nice To Haves

  • One-year prior psychiatric experience in mental health nursing preferred.
