About The Position

The Licensed Practical Nurse provides nursing care in a skilled nursing facility. The role assesses residents’ needs, develops individualized care plans, administers and evaluates nursing care, and supervises nursing assistants and other personnel involved in care delivery. Supervision and care must comply with applicable federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations, as well as direction from the Director of Nursing Services or designee, to maintain high-quality care. The nurse follows health, sanitary, and infection-control policies and established standards of practice.

Requirements

Possess a current, unencumbered license to practice as an LPN in the state where employed.
Possess current CPR certification.
Have basic computer skills and the ability to navigate software programs, including electronic health record software.

Responsibilities

Assess residents’ needs.
Develop individualized care plans.
Administer nursing care and evaluate its effectiveness.
Supervise nursing assistants and other personnel in the delivery of nursing care.
Follow applicable standards, guidelines, regulations, and direction from the Director of Nursing Services or designee.
Follow health, sanitary, and infection-control policies and established standards of practice.
