Requirements
- Must hold an active LPN license issued in the state of Maryland.
- 1 year of nursing experience preferred.
- Team player with strong work ethic and a willingness to assist where needed.
- Must possess a current CPR license.
- Ability to demonstrate effective interpersonal communication with all personnel, residents, and families.
Nice To Haves
- Previous experience caring for residents in an acute or long-term health care facility a plus.
Responsibilities
- Under the direct supervision of the RN, assist in care planning and treatments for residents and consults with other nursing staff as appropriate with applying knowledge and resources.
- Demonstrate basic knowledge and skills required to care for the resident population on an assigned unit.
- Review resident medical records to ensure nursing practice provided is within State and Federal guidelines.
- Document care provided and report changes in resident status to shift supervisor.
- Review all referrals for consultation, treatment or resolution of problems are valid and applicable to the documented nurse plans.
- Seeks opportunities for professional growth and expansion of responsibilities to maintain competency levels.
- Set and implement goals and policies consistent with the philosophy and purpose of FutureCare’s nursing facility.
