This position is open to Alaska Residents only. What you will be doing: Provide high quality care for up to ninety-one (91) assisted living home residents in a warm, supportive, and caring manner. This position provides clinical and medication administration to residents and clinical support to the care teams. Focus will be on quality resident care, the growth, development, and empowerment of health care teams, and the promotion of assisted living philosophy and statutes.

Requirements

  • A diploma or certificate from an accredited school in practical nursing and eligibility for licensure as a practical nurse with the State of Alaska.
  • Physical strength to lift, assist and transfer patients.
  • Knowledge of the diagnosis and treatment of injuries, diseases, and deformities, including preventive health-care measures.
  • Integrates best research practices with clinical and/or subject matter expertise and patient values for optimum care and participates in learning and research activities to the extent feasible.
  • Is open to change and new information; rapidly adapts to new information, changing conditions, or unexpected obstacles.
  • Shows understanding, friendliness, courtesy, tact, empathy, concern, and politeness to others; develops and maintains effective relationships with others; may include effectively dealing with individuals who are difficult, hostile, or distressed; relates well to people from varied backgrounds and different situations; is sensitive to cultural diversity, race, gender, disabilities, and other individual differences.

Responsibilities

  • Provide high quality care for up to ninety-one (91) assisted living home residents in a warm, supportive, and caring manner.
  • Provides clinical and medication administration to residents.
