About The Position

Avenues Recovery Center is hiring a Licensed Practical Nurse for the day shift at its detox and residential treatment facility in South Bend, Indiana. The nurse provides admission assessments and ongoing shift nursing duties, supports medication and pharmacy needs, and coordinates with medical, clinical, and utilization review teams. The role also requires accurate, thorough medical documentation and medication records.

Requirements

• Current, valid nursing licensure in the state of employment, or a compact license with multistate privileges.
• Strong critical-thinking, oral-communication, and written-communication skills.
• Excellent collaboration, multitasking, and time-management skills.

Nice To Haves

• One year of experience in the treatment industry is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Complete a comprehensive medical assessment for each client upon admission.
• Perform nursing shift duties, including screening, taking vital signs, scheduling appointments and labs, and updating charts.
• Address pharmacy needs and prescription authorizations.
• Dispense medications and maintain medication logs.
• Collaborate with medical, clinical, and utilization review teams to coordinate care.
• Maintain accurate medical documentation, review charts, and log medications for each client.
