For more than 40 years, we’ve developed programs to meet the diverse needs of clients with moderate to severe traumatic and acquired brain injuries. We provide treatment for post-concussion syndrome, stroke, memory loss, neurobehavioral issues and accident or sports-related head injuries.

Requirements

• State licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse (or equivalent) is required
• Demonstrated accountability and skills in analysis, problem solving, decision making, related to medical nursing skills and time management required
• Possession of a valid driver's license and acceptable driving record must be maintained at all times

Nice To Haves

• Previous Spinal Cord / Brain Injury experience is strongly preferred
• Experience in the rehabilitation of chronically or catastrophically ill or injured is recommended

Responsibilities

• Utilize nursing knowledge and skills in the safe implementation of basic preventative therapeutic and rehabilitative nursing care of assigned client as evidenced by documentation and observation of positive client care outcomes.
• Perform delegated independent nursing functions using established procedures, policies, guidelines and standards as observed by the RN.
• Completes timely identification of individuals in need of medical nursing services or interventions. Provides interventions as needed.
• Possesses the specialized knowledge and clinical skills necessary to provide care for clients; performs hands on nursing care and facilitator care by using nursing process
• Provides nursing and facilitation services for assigned clients within each designated program(s).
• Works as part of the clinical team to implement evidence-based treatment strategies that are related to self-care and that promote physical, psychosocial, and spiritual health.
• Provides training to clients or family members regarding how to promote health, wellness and medical stability.
