About The Position

The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) is responsible for performing health care related tasks within the guidelines of the state of Ohio Board of Nursing and the policy and procedures of The Counseling Center. This role involves providing direct patient care, assisting with health center operations, and maintaining a safe and organized environment. The LPN will also be involved in ensuring compliance with various regulatory bodies and maintaining patient confidentiality.

Requirements

• Holds and maintains licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse, LPN in the state of Ohio.

Nice To Haves

• Prior experience working in patient/family health care environment preferred.
• Knowledge about the disease of alcohol addiction preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides patient care and nursing services as allowed within the guidelines of the state of Ohio Board of Nursing.
• Assists with inventory control in health center.
• Works with other health care staff to maintain a clean, safe, and organized environment for staff and patients.
• Assists in maintaining accurate and up to date policies and procedures, protocols, and standing orders as well as compliance issues required by funding, licensure, and certifying bodies.
• Positively represents the department/agency through appropriate interaction, personal appearance and attitude.
• Maintains patient confidentiality at all time as required by 42 CFR and HIPAA.
• Assists with office tasks as needed.
• Performs any other duties as assigned by management.
