About The Position

The Arc of Greater Prince William/INSIGHT, Inc. is seeking talented, experienced, dedicated, and compassionate Licensed Practical Nurses (LPN) for a part-time position in Prince William County. This role involves providing nursing services to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, offering guidance and education to staff on health-related matters. The position is part-time, 8 hours per week, specifically every Saturday from 2p-10p, at a group home in Woodbridge, VA. This role can be combined with other openings.

Requirements

Experience with intellectual and developmentally disabled individuals.
Physically able to lift up to 50 lbs.
A license to practice as an LPN.
Flexibility.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Excellent computer skills.
Ability to pass and maintain required trainings such as CPR/First Aid, Medication Administration (MAT), Medicaid Waiver, Human Rights, OSHA and Van Training.
Must meet state of Virginia employment eligibility requirements.
A valid Virginia Driver/s license.
A licensed U.S. driver with a minimum of THREE (3) years driving experience in the United States.
Driving record must meet agency’s vehicle insurance carrier requirements.
Ability to attend and pass onsite training classes within the first 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

Provide nursing services to all individuals in the INSIGHT program that require nursing support.
Provide guidance and direction to staff on health issues.
Provide health-related education to staff who provide supports to individuals enrolled in the INISGHT programs.
