About The Position
PrimeCare Medical, Inc. is looking for dedicated and hard-working Licensed Practical Nurses (LPN) to work in the medical department at the Franklin County Jail located in Chambersburg, PA. This is a full-time position, with flexibility across all three shifts and rotating weekends.
Requirements
- Licensed as a Practical Nurse in the state of Pennsylvania
- Ability to communicate effectively
- Ability to function under supervision
- Demonstrate clinical competency
Nice To Haves
- Experience in correctional health care delivery system is a plus
Responsibilities
- Providing comprehensive nursing care while ensuring the proper flow of relevant information is disseminated to appropriate personnel.
- Maintaining, updating, and working with electronic medical records and ensuring that they are secure.
- Maintaining accurate records of all controlled substances, narcotics, and sharps in accordance with applicable state and federal laws.
- Conducting sick calls for inmates/patients and providing treatment for illnesses and injuries, defined by written protocol and approved by the PCM Medical Director.
- Observing, reporting, and documenting symptoms, reactions, and progress of inmates/patients and participating in the formulation of the plan of care.
- Record, retrieve, and file medical information in the inmate/patient medical record.
