About The Position

Bradford Recovery Center, an inpatient drug and alcohol rehabilitation center, is seeking organized and motivated Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) to join their team. They provide high-quality, personalized, evidence-based care to adults aged 18 and older who are impacted by substance use disorder, addiction, and co-occurring mental and behavioral health challenges. Their residential program offers individualized treatment in an optimal healing environment for those dependent on alcohol or other drugs, including those with accompanying mental or behavioral health disorders.

Requirements

  • Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
  • Current LPN/LVN license as required by state.
  • CPR certification.
  • De-escalation/restraint certification.
  • First aid may be required based on state or facility.

Nice To Haves

  • One or more years of nursing experience within the clinical area of service provided by the facility.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor patient health and administer basic care utilizing the nursing process within the LPN/LVN scope of practice to achieve care plan objectives and goals.
  • Role model customer service expectations and demonstrate a sense of urgency regarding patient safety.
  • Collaborate with others to ensure patients’ physical, biopsychosocial, age, developmental, and cultural needs are met, and address customer complaints when needs are not met.
  • Provide for the basic comfort of patients and implement nursing interventions identified in the individualized plan of care.
  • Apply appropriate interventions to progress patients towards and maintain wellness.
  • Discuss care provided with patients, listen to their concerns, and report status changes and concerns to registered nurses and doctors.
  • Communicate therapeutically and professionally with patients, visitors, coworkers, and others involved in patient treatment.
  • Provide safe medication delivery in accordance with policies, procedures, physician orders, and current practice.
  • Maintain standards of professional nursing practice according to facility policy, external governing bodies, performance improvement standards, and psychiatric nursing standards.
  • Ensure thorough, accurate reporting and documentation of patient symptoms, responses, and progress.
  • Perform other functions and tasks as assigned.
