About The Position
Wilson Care, a Specialized Mental Health Rehabilitation Facility in Chicago's North Side, has an Immediate Opening for a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) - Full Time 2nd Shift (3p-11a), with Rotating Weekends Required. The facility is a 24/7 operation dedicated to the treatment and recovery of individuals affected by chronic psychiatric disorders, offering treatment in a residential, homelike setting. The ideal candidate will share a passion for providing uncompromising excellence in psychiatric patient care, making a lasting impact on a special population, and striving for individual professional development.
Requirements
- Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) Licensed in the State of Illinois
- Nursing Experience in a Long-Term Care facility, preferable a Mental Health faciity
- Able to work independently
- High level of professionalism and confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA standards
- Must have compassion, tolerance and understanding for adults with psychiatric disorders
Nice To Haves
- preferably in a Mental Health Setting
Responsibilities
- Responsible for the coordination and delivery of psychiatric patient care and the application of the nursing process
- Administer medication and maintain narcotics report (RN)
- Supervise and lead RSAs and ensure the shift is fully staffed
Benefits
- $7,500 Sign on Bonus, paid immediately at $1.80 ph
- Hourly rate depends upon which benefit plan is selected.
