About The Position
River Edge Behavioral Health is seeking a Full-time Licensed Practical Nurse for the Baldwin Outpatient Unit. This role involves monitoring patient vitals, assisting with basic medical tasks, updating patient records, evaluating patient well-being, and explaining treatments to patients and families. The position also requires assisting physicians and registered nurses.
Requirements
- Practical Nursing Diploma
- Current LPN license, in good standing with the Georgia State licensing board
- Minimum of three (3) years of mental health experience.
Responsibilities
- Monitor patient’s vitals and record them in their file.
- Maintain the cleanliness and comfort of each patient, including bathing, feeding, and dressing.
- Assist nursing and medical staff with basic medical tasks, such as administering medication.
- Update patient records in a confidential manner.
- Evaluate the patient’s wellbeing, reporting any needs to medical staff.
- Explain treatments and procedures to patients and families.
- Assists physicians and registered nurses.
