About The Position

Spectrum Healthcare Resources has a potential opportunity for a civilian Licensed Practical Nurse - Clinical at Castle Point VA Medical Center in Wappingers, New York. This contract position offers a schedule of 40 hours weekly with a fully insured patient population and no on-call requirements. The role provides an opportunity to care for active duty military personnel, retirees, and their families.

Requirements

Must be a US citizen, or lawful permanent resident, or alien authorized to work in the US
Must be U.S Citizen
Current, full, active, and unrestricted license to practice as a Licensed Practical Nurse in any one of the 50 states, the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, or the U.S. Virgin Islands.
Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification through American Heart Association or American Red Cross guidelines.
Proof of documented training from the National Foundation for Integrative Medicine (NFIM) or a similar accredited body.
Graduate from an accredited community college, junior college, college, or vocational nursing program approved by the appropriate State agency; and Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN) or The Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE).
Two years experience performing care and treatment of patients; operating and maintaining therapeutic equipment; properly administering oral and parenteral medications; conducting paraprofessional portions of physical examinations; or assisting in medical treatment of patients in accordance with established procedures and protocols, within the LVN scope of practice.
