The LPN also provides basic patient education, follows through with necessary requests, and communicates with the healthcare team. They perform advanced clinical tasks, organize exam rooms, and prepare lab and work areas. The role involves patient positioning and transporting, completing routine maintenance and quality monitoring of clinic equipment, and participating in patient-centered initiatives and quality improvement activities. The LPN must demonstrate knowledge and skills appropriate for the age of the patients served, understanding principles of growth and development.
