Strong West Emergency Department is a fast-paced free-standing ED that manages over 20,000 visits a year. Staff is responsible for treating a diverse patient population, from minor complaints to strokes to traumatic injuries. Requirements
- Minimum of one-year experience in an acute care setting.
- Provide direct care to patients across the age spectrum in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
- Proactive nurse that demonstrates good interpersonal skills, strong prioritization and organizational skills, self-motivation, flexibility, and clinical competence.
Responsibilities
- In an inpatient setting, remains accountable for provision of direct care to assigned patients.
- Contributes to unit activities and supports enhancement of the care delivery system.
- Works as a team member and assists other staff members with implementing patient care.
- Assumes responsibility of care for assigned patients under the direction of the co-assigned RN or MD.
- Participates in the plan of care, implements appropriate nursing interventions, and contributes to patient/family education through collection of data, interdisciplinary team collaboration, documentation and excellent communication.
