Requirements
- A positive, team-oriented attitude
- Strong communication and patient care skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- The ability to multitask in a fast-paced clinic
- Confidence using computers and electronic medical record (EMR) systems
- A willingness to jump in wherever needed to support the team and our patients
Responsibilities
- Collect and document patient vital signs, including temperature, pulse, blood pressure, and other clinical information
- Assist providers during examinations and medical procedures
- Perform EKGs and support cardiac life support activities
- Administer medications by oral, intramuscular, subcutaneous, intravenous, and intradermal routes
- Provide wound care, complete dressing changes, and remove sutures and staples
- Start IVs and saline locks
- Perform venipuncture and collect laboratory specimens
- Prepare lab samples and assist with testing
- Maintain accurate, timely electronic medical documentation
- Support clinic operations and assist teammates wherever needed
- Receive cross-training and may occasionally assist outside of traditional nursing responsibilities to help provide exceptional patient care.
