Assists practitioners with patient care, physical examinations, ancillary tests, and performs a variety of administrative duties. This role involves escorting patients, preparing them for examinations and treatments, drawing blood, performing urine drug screens with proper chain of custody, maintaining exam rooms and lab areas, assisting with medical record maintenance, and performing front office clerical duties. The position also includes dispensing medications as directed, maintaining and operating clinical equipment, and performing ancillary testing such as PFT, EKG, injections, audiograms, and blood draws. The role emphasizes a strong service mentality, attention to detail, a sense of urgency, flexibility, initiative, and effective communication and teamwork.
