PART TIME - LPN
About The Position
Rite of Passage is hiring a part-time Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for Fort Myers Academy in Fort Myers, Florida. The academy is a moderate-risk, all-female program contracted through the Florida Department of Juvenile Justice. It provides comprehensive care and treatment, specializing in evidence-based intensive mental health services, in a supportive environment focused on healing and recovery. The LPN is a key member of the medical team and provides general health care to students within the scope of the nursing license. The role may include administering immunizations, assisting with TB screening and flu vaccines, and supporting overall health maintenance for students and staff. The LPN also assists with employee training on health care topics and helps order supplies, pharmaceuticals, and other medical equipment. The position typically works 10-hour shifts and pays $29.00 per hour.
Requirements
- Possess a current Licensed Practical Nursing credential from Florida.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- Pass a criminal background check and TB testing.
- Pass a search of the child abuse central registry.
Responsibilities
- Provide general health care to students within the scope of the LPN license.
- Administer immunizations and assist with TB screening and flu vaccines.
- Support overall health maintenance of students and staff.
- Assist in training employees on health care topics, including sports injury prevention, blood-borne pathogens, CPR, First Aid, and behavioral disorders.
- Assist with ordering supplies, pharmaceuticals, and other medical equipment for the medical team.
