LPN (Licensed Practical Nurse) Double Weekends
About The Position
Medical Park West Rehabilitation and Skilled Care is hiring a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in Norman, Oklahoma, to participate in and direct patient care in accordance with facility clinical systems, regulatory requirements, and physician orders. The role helps ensure high-quality services in a customer-service-friendly environment and contributes to resident care at a facility specializing in long-term and rehabilitative care. The nurse works with the clinical team to support the facility’s mission of providing clinical care, rehabilitation, wellness, and supportive services that meet patients’ and residents’ needs and expectations. The position is described as double weekends.
Requirements
- Current, unrestricted LPN license in the state of practice.
- Previous skilled nursing experience.
- Solid understanding of clinical operations and regulatory compliance.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Responsibilities
- Maintain nursing service objectives, goals, and standards of nursing practice consistent with licensure requirements and the Nurse Practice Act.
- Evaluate staffing patterns needed to meet residents’ needs in conjunction with the Director of Nursing.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
- Receive, transcribe, and implement physicians’ orders.
- Implement and evaluate care plans.
- Identify and secure equipment and supplies.
- Direct and oversee subordinates.
- Participate in duty assignments.
- Organize and coordinate subordinates, job tasks, and time allotments.
- Oversee and monitor the functions and activities of subordinate staff.
- Evaluate staff performance and take appropriate disciplinary or training action.
- Monitor infection-control compliance.
- Investigate and document accidents and incidents.
