About The Position

Fairview Range is hiring a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for our Emergency Services Department in Hibbing, MN. As a Licensed Practical Nurse, you will provide nursing support to patients within Urgent Care. We are a Level IV trauma center and an Acute Stroke Ready hospital. This position is a temporary increase to full time for an existing FTE within the department, lasting for 90 days from June through August. The Emergency Department features 17 ER beds, including 2 standalone trauma bays, and utilizes a multidisciplinary approach to all emergencies. The care delivery team includes Board Certified/Eligible ED physicians and advanced practice providers, RNs, LPNs, Unit Assistants, a dedicated Social Worker, and a dedicated Security Officer. Telemedicine services include Telestroke and Telepsych, and the patient population served is all ages. Requirements

Current MN LPN License.
1 year experience as Nursing Assistant.
Attends BLS class within six months of employment and maintains certification.

Nice To Haves

1 year of LPN experience in a hospital or nursing home setting preferred.
1-year Urgent Care/Emergency Room/Clinic experience.

Responsibilities

Capturing the data involved in total systems assessment, including physical, psychosocial and spiritual data, as well as ongoing data collection.
Assisting the provider in coordinating a plan of care based on prioritized patient needs in collaboration with the patient, significant other and resource personnel.
Assisting in provision of age specific direct patient care in collaboration with all disciplines according to standards of care.
