About The Position
The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) contributes to patient assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation under the supervision of registered nurses. The LPN provides guidance in patient education and activities within the scope of their education and demonstrated competencies. The position supports care for underserved and vulnerable patients in a mission-driven setting, with ongoing training and clinical resources available.
Requirements
- Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
- Maintain current Licensed Practical Nurse or Licensed Vocational Nurse licensure in the state of employment.
- Obtain and maintain CPR certification.
- Must reside in the United States.

- A minimum of one year of clinic experience is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Under RN supervision, assess patients’ physical, psychological, and social dimensions in the Health Care Unit and housing units; contribute to individualized treatment planning and consult with RNs and staff as needed.
- Implement treatment programs directed by Health Care Practitioners, administer medications (including IV therapy if certified), and perform diagnostic tests according to established protocols and procedures.
- Collaborate in controlled-substance counts at the beginning of each shift; follow safety techniques, procedures, and standard precautions; respond to codes or health emergencies within standard guidelines.
- Assist with medical or minor surgical procedures, implement nutrition and therapeutic diet plans, and document nursing encounters using SOAP charting.
- Communicate effectively with nursing staff, physicians, and other relevant personnel.
- Attend mandatory staff meetings and training sessions, and follow policies and procedures while providing patient care.
