About The Position
This position is located in Helena, MT at the Grasslands facility, which is an off-site facility of the Montana State Hospital. It is funded through June 30, 2027. After this date, the position may be funded permanently or may be subject to a reduction in force (RIF). Montana State Hospital is seeking professional and passionate Licensed Practical Nurses (LPN) to join our team. This full-time position would perform skilled nursing duties and inpatient psychiatric treatment for adults with serious mental illness.
Requirements
- Graduation from an accredited school of practical nursing
- Currently licensed as a Practical Nurse in the State of Montana
- Skilled in the use of the basic instruments and equipment of the nursing profession
- Ability to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing.
- Ability to proficiently utilize technology related to patient car information systems
Responsibilities
- Administering and documenting the administration of medications and medical treatments.
- Receive and transcribe verbal and written physician’s orders accordingly to ensure accurate treatment to patients.
- Provide patient assessment.
