About The Position

WellNow Urgent Care is hiring a Licensed Practical Nurse to support patient care in a busy urgent care setting. The LPN assists practitioners with examinations and procedures, administers medications and injections, handles specimens and laboratory-result management, and helps maintain efficient patient flow. The role also includes preparing and maintaining exam rooms, returning patient calls, attending required staff training and meetings, and completing other duties as assigned. Travel requirements are 0–25%.

Requirements

• Degree from an accredited School of Practical Nursing.
• Active LPN license.
• Ability to perform job duties without accommodations, including repeatedly lifting up to 50 pounds, bending and twisting, and standing 10–12 hours per day.
• Strong critical-thinking skills.
• Excellent customer-service skills and ability to work in a fast-paced team environment.

Nice To Haves

• Prior experience in a busy medical office is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Assist the practitioner with examinations, procedures, and other duties as assigned.
• Administer medications and injections.
• Collect and prepare specimens for the laboratory and assist in managing results.
• Efficiently manage patient flow through the office.
• Prepare exam rooms, including maintaining and sterilizing equipment and stocking supplies.
• Handle patient call backs.
• Attend facility-required staff training and meetings.
• Assist with other assigned duties as needed.
