About The Position
Adelphi is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide nursing care and services at a facility in State Farm, VA. The ideal candidate will provide nursing care to patients through collaborative efforts with health team members while adhering to standards of care and practice.
Requirements
- Active Virginia license
- CPR Certification
Responsibilities
- Participates in the screening, evaluation, and care of inmates while under the supervision of a physician and/or registered nurse.
- Record patients’ medical information and vital signs.
- Prepare patients for and assist with examinations or treatments.
- Prepare rooms, sterile instruments, equipment, or supplies and ensure that stock of supplies is maintained.
- Coordinate with other medical and ancillary personnel, as required, to ensure continuity of care.
- Monitor, record, and report symptoms or changes in patients’ condition.
- Provide appropriate nursing interventions in emergency situations.
- Comply with all state requirements and facility policies and procedures.
- Additional duties as assigned by facility.
