About The Position

Homestead Village is seeking an experienced Licensed Practical Nurse to work in one of our skilled nursing households. Nurses with exceptional skills, a passion for serving older adults and excitement for leading a small team of caregivers would be a great fit for this position. Our full-time nurses enjoy a schedule that allows for great work/life balance by working 3 twelve-hour shifts per week.

Requirements

Currently licensed in the Commonwealth of PA as a Licensed Practical Nurse
Work cooperatively with team members & compassionately with residents
Ability to actively direct subordinates in a professional & supportive manner
Able to perform the essential job functions of the job description.

Nice To Haves

Minimum of three years as an LPN preferred
Minimum of three years of supervisory experience preferred
Previous experience in a skilled nursing facility preferred
Familiarity with SNF Regulations

Responsibilities

Establish respectful, warm relationship with residents, perform rounds.
Perform all aspects of resident care in accordance with nursing practices & policies.
Complete all documentation as required.
Communicates readily with team members & RN Nurse Leaders.
Administer medications & perform treatments according to policy, physician’s orders, and federal & state guidelines.
Observe and report changes in residents’ condition immediately.
Assist in training, supervising, and evaluating assigned staff, along with participation in orientation of new employees.
Assist with emergency response campus-wide, as needed.
Attend all required staff meetings and complete monthly education on Relias by dates due.
Always conduct self in a positive and professional manner.
Perform other duties as assigned.
