About The Position

FULL TIME EVENING LICENSED PRACTICAL NURSES NEEDED ASAP! This position offers a $2,500 Sign On Bonus for Full Time Evening LPNs. The bonus is paid in installments, and eligibility and repayment terms apply. The role involves managing residents’ existing care plans and supervising the day-to-day resident care activities during the shift, ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations and facility policies. Responsibilities include directing care activities, ensuring licensed nursing functions are performed correctly, cooperating with other departments, reporting resident needs, supervising CNAs, completing medical forms, attending care plan meetings, admitting/transferring/discharging residents, charting, drug administration, personnel functions, nursing care, monitoring seriously ill residents, professional development, safety and infection control, managing equipment and supplies, and upholding resident rights. The role also includes direct supervision of Certified Nursing Assistants.

Requirements

• One year certificate from college or technical school for Nursing required.
• Minimum one year of long-term care or acute care experience required.
• Valid NYS LPN license and CPR required

Responsibilities

• Manage residents’ existing care plans and supervise the day-to-day resident care activities during the shift.
• Direct day-to-day resident care activities.
• Ensure that daily licensed nursing functions are carried out in accordance with state and federal regulations, and facility policies and procedures.
• Cooperate with other departments in the facility when coordinating resident care services to ensure that residents’ total regimen is maintained.
• Report resident needs to next shift RN Supervisor.
• Supervise the CNA’s delivery of care and proper implementation of the standard of care.
• Complete medical forms, reports, evaluations, studies, charting, care plans etc. as needed.
• Attend care plan meetings as needed.
• Meet with interdisciplinary team members as needed to plan and coordinate shift services and programs.
• Admit, transfer, and discharge residents.
