About The Position

The Licensed Practical Nurse provides direct patient care, assists physicians with procedures, and helps with front office duties as needed. The role reports clinically to the physician and administratively to the Clinic Manager. The position is based at the Fayetteville Family Clinic and is full-time, Monday through Friday, with a day shift.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Current, unencumbered Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license.
• CPR certification.
• Ability to perform the position’s stated physical activities, including standing and walking, and pushing, pulling, lifting, or carrying up to 50 pounds.

Nice To Haves

• At least two years of previous experience working as an LPN on an interdisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Obtain patient vital signs and update patient medical histories, entering collected data into the electronic medical records system.
• Prepare patients for procedures and examinations and assist physicians as needed.
• Refill provider-authorized medications electronically, by fax, or by phone when authorized and appropriate.
• Provide patients with direction, support, and counseling regarding medical therapies and medications as directed by the physician.
• Serve as a patient liaison and advocate as needed.
• Schedule surgeries and diagnostic tests and provide scheduled dates to patients.
• Assist with front office duties as needed.
