The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) provides evidence-based nursing care utilizing the nursing process, principles, practices, and techniques of general nursing care as determined by Standards of Practice under the direction of a Registered Nurse. This role involves screening for sick calls, administering medications, and providing first aid and basic life support to patients and employees. The LPN will maintain open lines of communication with security and treatment staff, providing input to assist the facility provider in organizing a treatment plan. All pertinent information will be recorded into the medical record, and the LPN will interact with other departments as needed. This position promotes continued competence through education/certification with a focus on correctional nursing. Nurses must be able to work assigned hours, days, and locations, and be capable of providing coverage as needed to meet institutional needs. Assignments to other duties or locations may be necessary to meet the clinical and administrative needs of the Department. This is a full-time position with an annual salary range of $62,492 - $81,093.
