About The Position

Americare Senior Living is seeking a flexible, compassionate Support Nurse (LPN) to provide direct resident care and short-term clinical support across Assisted Living communities. The role supports continuity of care during transitions, coverage needs, or other periods when communities need additional assistance. Under senior leadership’s direction, the nurse helps maintain a home-like, person-centered environment and supports caregiving staff in meeting residents’ physical, psychological, and social needs. The position involves travel between communities and occasional overnight stays. It is full-time, Monday through Friday, with day shifts, overtime eligibility, mileage and hotel reimbursement, and no on-call requirement. The Support Nurse provides direct nursing care, supervises and supports caregiving staff, assists with assessments and care planning, monitors changes in residents’ conditions, and administers medications and treatments according to physician orders and established protocols. The nurse collaborates with community and senior leadership, maintains accurate clinical documentation, and promotes resident dignity, safety, and quality of life while upholding Americare’s mission, philosophy, and values. The role is based at Sugar Creek by Americare Senior Living, an Assisted Living and Memory Care community in Troy, Missouri. Compensation is $31.25 to $33.65 per hour. Requirements

Graduate of an approved school of nursing.
Current Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Registered Nurse (RN) license.
Maintain current state registration and required continuing education.
Strong clinical judgment and adaptability.
Ability to supervise staff and work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
Passion for senior care and resident-centered service.

Flexibility to support multiple communities as needed.
Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and assist with resident transfers as needed.
Ability to push, pull, and maneuver up to 100 pounds, including resident mobility assistance.
Ability to maneuver resident wheelchairs weighing up to 350 pounds.
