About The Position

This is a full-time position for a Licensed Practical Nurse at CVHS Westmoreland in Montross, VA. The role is in a high-volume practice that offers a rewarding, team-oriented work environment. The nurse will perform tasks pertinent to the age of the patient (infancy to geriatric), maintain accurate inventory of medical supplies, and assist in the selection of division equipment and supplies. They will perform all nursing procedures as directed by the clinician according to the guidelines in the Nursing Procedure Manual, assist in quality assurance and control, and support a team-based approach to patient-centered medical care. The position also involves participating in continuing education, assisting in the efficient flow of patients, and attending work as scheduled. Related duties will be performed as assigned.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited program for Licensed Practical Nurses or Registered Nurses
  • Licensed by the Virginia State Board of Nursing or from a compact state
  • At least 2 years of general patient care experience as a Licensed Practical Nurse or Registered Nurse
  • Dedication to detail and accuracy.
  • Respect for patient confidentiality.
  • Pleasant, patient and understanding; flexible.
  • Ability to communicate ideas clearly.
  • Team member skills.
  • Should have experience with or knowledge of medical office systems, supplies and equipment.
  • Demonstrates clinical competence

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in emergency room and community nursing preferred.
  • Current CPR certification, preferred.
  • Experience in telephone triage, preferred.
