About The Position

The Ohio State University Medical Center is committed to enhancing the quality of care provided to patients. The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) functions as an integral member of a team of care providers on a patient care unit, who reflect a culture of cooperation, enthusiasm, and mutual respect. The team provides patient care and supportive services that are directed towards achievement of patient care outcomes, maximizing the patient’s involvement in his/her own plan of care, improving service levels, reducing the length of hospitalization and decreasing costs. Patients and their family will experience the benefits of patient focused care through the integrated skills of all care team members. The LPN provides patient care as assigned under the direction of the RN or LIP. The LPN provides care in collaboration with the patient, family, and other members of the patient care team. The LPN administers care utilizing the nursing process and practices within their scope of practice and the standards of the OSUWMC.

Requirements

  • Associate's Degree in Practical Nursing
  • Licensed Practical Nurse
  • 0 years of relevant experience required

Nice To Haves

  • 0-2 years of relevant experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Provides patient care as assigned under the direction of the RN or LIP.
  • Provides care in collaboration with the patient, family, and other members of the patient care team.
  • Administers care utilizing the nursing process and practices within their scope of practice and the standards of the OSUWMC.
