About The Position
Homestead Health Care is seeking a dedicated and experienced Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team. This role will support our communities in Ann Arbor and Flint. The LPN will be instrumental in providing high-quality care to our residents, ensuring their overall well-being, and fostering a supportive and nurturing environment.
Requirements
- Current and valid LPN license in Michigan.
- Proven experience in a successful nursing role within a senior living or long-term care environment, with a significant portion in a management capacity.
- Working knowledge of nursing home regulations and the Nurse Practice Act.
- Ability to relate positively to residents, their families, employees, and the community.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Compassionate and patient-focused approach to care.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to residents.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
- Communicate with pharmacies.
- Monitor and assess residents' health status, noting any changes and reporting them promptly.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records.
- Lead resident assistants and med techs to ensure superior care, including patient assessments, audits, and staff training.
- Supervise and support Caregivers in delivering care.
- Respond to emergencies and provide first aid as needed.
