About The Position

This is a full-time Licensed Practical Nurse position in the Emergency Room. The role involves active participation in an interdisciplinary treatment team, collaborating on patient treatment plans, observing and documenting patient progress, and providing direct patient care using nursing knowledge. The nurse will also provide patient and family education and communicate relevant clinical information to the RN.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited LPN program
• Current license as a Licensed Practical Nurse in Pennsylvania
• BLS required or obtained within 1 month of hire

Nice To Haves

• 1 year of medical surgical experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Actively participate as a member of the interdisciplinary treatment team.
• Collaborate in the development, implementation, and revision of each patient’s interdisciplinary treatment plan.
• Observe and evaluate each patient, documenting observations and evaluations.
• Provide the RN with relevant clinical information.
• Utilize nursing knowledge of medical, surgical, and behavioral health nursing to provide direct patient care.
• Observe and document patient outcomes.
• Provide patient and family education.
• Work collaboratively as a member of the interdisciplinary team.
