Requirements

Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
Current licensure as a Licensed Practical/Licensed Vocational Nurse within the state of employment.
Ability to obtain and maintain CPR certification.

Nice To Haves

Minimum of one (1) year clinic experience.

Responsibilities

Assess patients' physical, psychological, and social dimensions in both the Health Care Unit and housing units, contributing to individualized treatment planning.
Consult with RNs and staff as needed.
Implement treatment programs directed by Health Care Practitioners.
Administer medications, including IV therapy (if certified).
Perform diagnostic tests according to established protocols and procedures.
Collaborate in controlled substance counts at the beginning of each shift.
Adhere to safety techniques, procedures, and standard precautions.
Respond to codes or health emergencies within standard guidelines.
Assist in medical or minor surgical procedures.
Implement nutrition and therapeutic diet plans.
Document nursing encounters using SOAP charting.
Ensure effective communication with nursing staff, physicians, and other relevant personnel.
Attend mandatory staff meetings and training sessions.
Demonstrate a commitment to continuous professional development and adherence to policies and procedures in providing high-quality patient care.
