Licensed Practical Nurse, Pulmonology - Crystal Run Health
About The Position
Optum NY is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse to join its Pulmonology team in Rock Hill, New York. As part of Optum Care Delivery, the nurse provides patient care in coordination with physicians and other members of the care team, supporting patient participation, education, and coordinated care. The role also provides direction to clerical assistants, medical assistants, and other non-licensed personnel. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. External candidates are eligible for a $5,000 sign-on bonus. The hourly pay range is $20.38 to $36.44, based on full-time employment and factors including local labor markets, education, work experience, and certifications. Benefits and incentives are subject to eligibility requirements. Candidates must pass a drug test before beginning employment.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited school of Practical Nursing.
- New York State license with current New York State registration, in good standing.
Nice To Haves
- Current CPR/BLS certification.
- At least 1 year of experience as a licensed practical nurse or at least 2 years as a Medical Assistant in a pertinent practice area.
Responsibilities
- Provide nursing care to patients and significant others through direct and/or telephone contact, following established standards and practices.
- Coordinate with other care team members to support seamless care delivery, coordinated efforts, and active patient participation in planning and care.
- Assist a physician or other provider with clinical procedures.
- Participate in patient teaching.
- Provide direction to clerical assistants, medical assistants, and other non-licensed personnel.
