About The Position
Centurion Health is seeking a Full-time Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join their day shift team at GDCP | Jackson, GA. This role offers day hours, competitive pay, and a structured clinical environment within a correctional facility. The LPN will provide holistic nursing care to incarcerated patients under the direction of Registered Nurses and medical/psychiatric staff, addressing both physical and behavioral health needs. The position emphasizes safety, ethical practice, and collaboration with medical, mental health, and custody teams.
Requirements
- Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license | Compact (MSL) or Georgia (SL) | Must be active and valid
- Must be appropriately and actively certified in Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) or BLS | Must be active
- Ability to obtain security clearance via the GADOC, this may include drug screen and criminal background check
Responsibilities
- Deliver safe, ethical, and evidence-based nursing care
- Follow established safety, security, and infection control protocols
- Monitor patient conditions and report changes appropriately
- Collaborate with medical, mental health, and custody teams
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
